After some convincing by a friend of mine I’ve decided to embrace another Web 2.0 service,  the “social bookmarking” tool Delicious (My profile) [1]. Basically it’s a way to organize stuff on the web that you want to access quickly and easily. You can do all the obvious things like tagging and commenting on your links, and it seems like a pretty nifty way to organize a personal web library which is also available to others(if you want it to be). If everyone used it I guess we could collectively cut down on the hours spent searching for relevant literature.

I think I’ll be using it mostly to organize litterature related to my own research, so there’s probably going to be a lot of bioenergy and climate related material. If by any chance you should be interested it can be accessed from the feed on the right side of the screen, where the latest entries are available.

There are also a bunch of other “social” features to the service, like the possibility of establishing networks, direct messaging and being “friends”, although I haven’t really looked into those yet. Don’t really think I need yet another service catering for those needs.

[1] Yes, yes, I know it’s been around for a while, but I’m slow…
